The week leading up to Maggie turning two, we worked on saying "two" all week! It's super cute! Plus she usually tries putting up two fingers too!
Maggie's birthday party was a monkey party! And boy did she love her monkey balloon!
First we had pizza at our house
The "big kid," little kids table
After pizza, we went to The Little Gym for some fun! This is the gym that we take Maggie to once a week for class--she absolutely loves it! Maggie and Nolan hanging on the bar!
Playing on the big wheel--forward and backward rolls
Ta-Da!
All the kids jumping on the big, blow-up air track while popping bubbles!
"Happy Birthday" and cake time
Opening presents
"Elmo!" Maggie's really into Elmo right now and loved this Elmo book!
Look at all those presents! She loves it all! Thank you everyone for coming!
This video is from a few weeks ago of Maggie talking. She really started to take off with her talking a few weeks before her second birthday. Now she points to everything and tells us what it is or points and wants us to tell her what it is so she can repeat it. Maggie likes to point out "Momma," "Dada" and "Mammie" in pictures around the house--in the video you'll hear her pronounciations of some names in our family.

Maggie's been saying animal sounds for quite awhile now, but I'm just finally posting this video from the summer. Plus she learned "I'm a Little Teapot" at daycare--she's just too darn cute!

Maggie loves to point at objects and tell you it's color and about 90% of the time, she's right! She has trouble with blue and purple sometimes. Now we've started to work on shapes and letters--she's really good at recognizing circles and the letter "o." And she still loves reading books and putting together puzzles.
So last week we had Maggie's two year check-up and here are her stats:
Weight: 30 lbs (84th percentile)
Height: 37 in (98th percentile)
Head circumference: 19.5 in (92nd percentile)
A tall girl we have!! No surprise since she's usually taller than most 2 and 3 year olds that we see!! She's always been mistaken for being older than she actually is because of her height! Maggie also got 2 shots and had one finger poke at this appointment--with no tears! Her pediatrician said that she was "fabulous" and just keep doing what we're doing!
We think you're pretty fabulous too, Maggie!
