Where did summer go???

This is my attempt to catch-up on the blog--IF my computer and the website cooperate! We'll start off with our family vacation to Chicago! At the end of July, we headed to Dave's cousin's wedding in Decorah, Iowa and then headed to Chicago for a few days. We went to the Willis Tower (aka Sears Tower) and stood 110 stories over Chicago! Pretty cool! And not going to lie, I was pretty freaked--plexiglass and a whole bunch of people standing on it--get me off!!
We rode the Ferris Wheel at Navy Pier!
We took Maggie to her first Major League baseball game at U.S. Cellular Field to see the Twins play the White Sox. The Twins were terrible and it was a horribly hot day/night so Maggie and I spent most of it in the AC of club level where she entertained everyone with her cuteness ;o) She also was tossed a ball from one of the Twins trainers and she posted a message on the scoreboard thanking Dave and I for taking her to her first game!
We also went to Shedd Aquarium while in Chicago and ate at many great restaurants! But I think the highlight of Chicago was our tour of Wrigley Field! The Cubs weren't in town so we had access to everything! Our guide was fantastic and we learned so much of the history--highly recommend if you are ever in Chicago! This is us in the Cubs dugout at the end of the tour--another scorchingly hot day and Maggie was, once again, a super trooper!
Our sleepy girl was a great traveller
After Chicago we headed to visit our friends the Milers in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We had a blast catching up with them and seeing their new house, plus Brooke and Sarah Wisdom were there to hang out with us too! The Milers even babysat Maggie on our anniversary so Dave and I could go to a Brewers game (alone)! Another night of having a special message on the scoreboard, this time from Dave wishing me a happy anniversary!
Our friends the Ryans from Kansas City came to visit for the weekend in August. We went to the Mall of America and the little girls rode the kiddie carousel.
Having fun at the park (the wild hair is from her taking out her pigtails!)
Boating with our friends the Linders--Addie and Maggie playing at the water table on the boat
MN State Fair--Maggie loved the corn dog that we all shared
Riding the Sky Ride at the Fair
Labor Day Weekend at Grandma and Grandpa's Cabin--all of us boating on the pontoon (see the Peterson's website for more pictures)
Making funny faces with Mommy
Mowing with Nolan--the mowers were the popular toy of the weekend!
Maggie and Grandpa on the dock
All 12 of us!
We became MN Zoo members at the end of the summer so as soon as kids were back in school, Maggie and I went
She loved the fish! I think we sat by this aquarium for almost a half-hour!
Maggie still LOVES her babies!
At the beginning of September we finally took Maggie to her first game at Target Field. And nothing like going to your first game in style--we sat in the Champions Club level--3 rows behind home plate!
Meeting TC Bear
Our family
One night I was doing some rearranging of things and I came across all of my old toys--Maggie loved them!
Maggie's first time finger painting
Whew!! Do you feel caught up now??? ;o) That wasn't as painful as in the past so I think I'm back to blogging! We had Maggie's 2 year appointment last week so hopefully I'll get to my next blog post soon and I'll update you with all of her stats and some more pics from her birthday party!
